The European Union has set very important objectives that will lead to significant energy savings by 2030 and an increasingly diminished environmental impact.
Toward this end, a first step was taken with the introduction of the new SRL (Ecodesign) and ELR (Energy Labelling) regulations. In fact, from 1 September 2021 all manufacturers, importers or owners of lighting fixtures must place on the market luminaires designed in accordance with the following Ecodesign requirements.
On December 14th the EPREL (EU Product Database for Energy Labelling) database was activated. It was established with the dual objective of being used by authorities for market surveillance activities and to make publicly available online the list of labelled products, containing data relating to the energy performance of all those products subject to energy efficiency legislation.
Performance iN Lighting was immediately activated for its products, carrying out the required laboratory tests and entering all the required information in the portal. The Company therefore complies with what is required by legislation, the information is made freely available on its website, on product instruction sheets and where necessary also on the product packaging.
Performance iN Lighting designs and develops its lighting fixtures in accordance with regulations, with particular attention to the environment and energy sustainability and guarantees the registration of lighting of its design and development within the EPREL database.
