Mirabilia is a temporary installation divided into three acts, hosted in the most evocative locations of Bergamo’s Città Alta. The name Mirabilia draws inspiration from the Wunderkammer, the historical “cabinets of curiosities” where rare and mysterious objects were collected: an invitation to wonder, a bridge between art, knowledge, and nature. Conceived by the multidisciplinary studio Beplano, these three installations invite you to slow your gaze, pause your steps, and immerse yourself in a contemplation that sparks the marvel of existence.

Attesa – Glimmers of a Time Waiting to Happen
In Piazza della Cittadella, Attesa evokes the suspended time that precedes every significant event, the moment when the future is still hidden. Seven luminous doors emerge from the darkness, inviting you to stop and reflect on the value of waiting, in a rarefied silence that becomes a symbol of mystery and openness to what is yet to come.
Architectural lighting, provided by STRIP SQUARE+ linear floodlights with circular intensive optics, highlights the seven doors of increasing size: a metaphor for the emotional growth of those awaiting Life. The light traces a path that transforms the tension of uncertainty into awareness and wonder.
Nascita – The Magic in Discarded Things
In Piazza Mascheroni, Nascita tells the story of the world’s first breath, the instant when life emerges and everything seems possible. The work is a Nativity hut built from discarded metal fragments: abandoned and neglected materials find new life, transforming into shapes rich with meaning and beauty.
Lighting, achieved with TYK+ 10 architectural floodlights with circular wide optics controlled via DALI digital protocol, enhances every element of the installation: each fragment tells the story of matter regenerating and life being reborn.
Epifania – The Revelation of Beauty
In Piazza Vecchia, Epifania appears as a revelation: the moment when being reveals itself through the gaze of others, turning individual perception into shared awareness. The work stands as a luminous and solemn presence, an invitation for humanity to become a living witness of ethics and humanity.
Lighting, provided by TYK+ 15 architectural floodlights with circular intensive optics and anti-glare snoot, enhances six reflective prisms arranged around the Contarini fountain. These prisms capture and multiply the light, creating reflections that transform the surrounding space and inspire a dialogue between oneself, others, and the shared environment.
