GEWISS RELEASES ITS 2025 SUSTAINABILITY REPORT

Growth, innovation and responsibility: the Group’s ESG journey accelerates through energy efficiency, people empowerment and international development

GEWISS has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, highlighting the Group’s ongoing evolution across the key ESG dimensions – Environmental, Social and Governance – and reaffirming an industrial vision in which innovation, competitiveness and responsibility advance together.
Prepared on a voluntary basis, with reference to the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) while maintaining alignment with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) principles, the report covers activities carried out between 1 January and 31 December 2025. It provides a comprehensive overview of the results achieved in strategic areas including environmental stewardship, people development, product innovation and responsible value-chain management.

Today, sustainability is one of the key pillars of the Group’s development strategy. It is not simply a set of environmental or social objectives, but a cross-functional approach that involves all companies and business units, guiding industrial, organizational and investment decisions.

“Today, sustainability is not only a value but also a strategic lever that cuts across the entire Group and translates into a shared commitment among all the companies that are part of it,” says Laura Onorati, Quality, Safety, Environment, Energy and Sustainability Director at GEWISS. “The 2025 Report reflects this integrated approach, highlighting how each company contributes, through its own expertise and distinctive capabilities, to a common journey focused on creating long-term, measurable value.”

Growth that strengthens the Group’s vision

2025 was a significant year in consolidating GEWISS’ growth journey. The Group continued to strengthen its international presence and enhance its position in the fields of energy management and protection, e-mobility, building automation and smart lighting.

One of the year’s most important milestones was the completion of the Lighting Business Unit reorganization, marked by Beghelli joining the Group and its integration with Performance iN Lighting and Tvilight. This strategic move expands expertise, technologies and design capabilities, enabling the development of an increasingly comprehensive and synergistic lighting portfolio.

This evolution confirms the Group’s commitment to addressing the challenges of the energy transition and digital transformation through an integrated approach capable of generating value for customers, partners and stakeholders.

Energy efficiency: tangible results in reducing environmental impact

Environmental sustainability remains one of the cornerstones of GEWISS’ strategy. Throughout 2025, several energy-efficiency initiatives were implemented, resulting in energy savings of 204 MWh. This achievement adds to the 1,410 MWh saved in 2024, contributing to an overall reduction of approximately 2.4% of the Group’s total energy consumption.

These initiatives also led to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, avoiding approximately 52 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent emissions. The result reflects the Group’s ongoing commitment to optimizing production processes and improving energy performance.

More renewable energy and greater energy autonomy

Alongside efficiency initiatives, 2025 saw significant growth in the use of renewable energy sources. Today, 35% of the Group’s production sites are equipped with photovoltaic systems, helping to cover part of electricity demand through self-generated energy and avoiding approximately 305 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent emissions.

Particularly noteworthy is the increase in renewable energy self-generation, which grew by 41% compared to 2024. This result confirms the Group’s progressive decarbonization strategy and its commitment to investing in increasingly sustainable production models.

Circular economy and certified products for a sustainable future

In addition to energy-efficiency initiatives, GEWISS continues to promote production models based on circular economy principles and responsible design.

In 2025, 93% of the waste generated by the Group was classified as non-hazardous, demonstrating the company’s focus on responsible resource management and the reduction of environmental impacts associated with industrial activities.

The Group also continues to assess the environmental impact of its products throughout their entire life cycle. In this context, four new Product Environmental Profile (PEP Ecopassport®) certifications were obtained, resulting in a 9.6% increase in certified product codes. This milestone further strengthens transparency towards the market and confirms the commitment to increasingly sustainable technological solutions.

People at the heart of the development strategy

The Group’s growth is also reflected in the development of its human capital. As of 31 December 2025, GEWISS employed 3,297 people, representing a 49% increase compared to the previous year and confirming the strengthening of its organizational structure and internal expertise.

Employment quality remains a distinctive feature: 96.8% of employees are hired on permanent contracts. At the same time, women account for 40% of the workforce, reflecting the company’s commitment to diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities.

Training also plays a central role. During 2025, more than 29,000 training hours were delivered to support the development of the technical, professional and managerial skills needed to address future challenges.

Safety and a responsible supply chain: sustainability across the entire value chain

Throughout 2025, GEWISS continued to foster a strong safety culture by adopting a preventive approach and investing in the continuous improvement of processes, tools and initiatives aimed at protecting people.

The Group’s commitment to sustainability also extends across the entire value chain. Through an internationally recognized rating system, GEWISS evaluates and monitors suppliers’ ESG performance, promoting transparency, accountability and alignment with sustainability goals throughout the supply chain.

Engaging stakeholders and supporting local communities

Value creation also involves continuous dialogue with local communities and stakeholders. During 2025, GEWISS promoted two corporate volunteering initiatives, reaffirming its commitment to communities and social development.

A key role was also played by the Gewiss Experience Center, the Group’s experiential showroom dedicated to technological solutions. Throughout the year, it hosted more than 150 events and welcomed around 3,000 customers, professionals, partners and stakeholders, serving as a hub for discussion and collaboration on innovation, energy and sustainability.

A long-term vision to create shared value

Through its 2025 Sustainability Report, GEWISS reaffirms a strategy that combines economic growth, environmental responsibility and people development. This journey involves all companies within the Group and leverages ESG principles as a concrete tool to drive innovation, strengthen competitiveness and create lasting value for customers, employees, partners, communities and local territories.

Sustainability is no longer simply an objective to pursue; it has become a genuine driver of development, guiding future industrial decisions and transforming responsibility and innovation into opportunities for shared growth.
