Performance iN Lighting is proud to have hosted representatives from four agencies during our 2017 Italy Factory Trip! Congratulations to Penn Lighting, Lighting Virginia: Virginia Beach, Genesis Lighting, and CW Lighting for earning a spot to Italy!
Janet Cassidy, Corey Painter, Andres Dieppa & Dennis Congdon, along with their spouses, traveled with us from Milan to Venice. During the journey we made many stops at Montevecchia, Lake Como, Lake Garda, Verona, Vo & Vicenza.
In Montevecchia, everyone enjoyed an amazing view in the Italian countryside and a home-cooked Italian dinner. While dining at Lake Garda, a storm lit up the lake and waves crashed against the viewing windows. In Verona, the group toured the Performance iN Lighting factory, showcasing how large our company is internationally, and got a sneak peek of the newest fixtures coming to PIL USA! In addition, guests were impressed with our teaching programs, including an onsite, company-supported daycare and learning facility for the children PIL employees. This separate facility houses a small, working farm that engages children while educating them about rural life in Italy.
When in Venice, we boated around the canals and viewed the island with a local tour guide. A private wine tasting in the hills of Vo and a customized cooking class in Vicenza, were the last touches before we ended our exciting week. It is said that food cooked with friends always tastes the best!
Each year, Performance iN Lighting rewards top agents with a visit to our headquarters in Verona or possibly to one of our other factories in Bergamo, Italy or Goslar, Germany.
