RETIREMENT VILLAGE AVEO SPRINGFIELD

The "Aveo Springfield Retirement Village" residence for seniors will be one of the largest projects by Aveo Healthcare. Made up of more than 2500 units, it will offer apartments for senior citizens and assisted living facilities near the new Mater Hospital in Springfield Central.

Building A, a 5-storey condominium consisting of 66 apartments in a mixture of one- and two-bedroom configurations, was the first step towards realizing this ambitious project.Designed to meet the Silver level of Livable Housing Australia (LHA), a partnership between Australian consumer associations, government and industry that provides guidelines for designing more accessible, more liveable and easily adaptable to life’s changes, the apartments meet the needs of residents now and in the future. 

For better overall quality of life, a large public park was built surrounding the common areas of the building providing direct access to a surrounding environment consisting of lush green spaces.

PERFORMANCE iN LIGHTING contributed to the lighting of this project by providing THEOS pole-mounted fixtures to illuminate common areas, pedestrian paths, access roads and parking areas. The substantial reduction in energy consumption and maintenance costs derived from the installation of LED devices makes for sustainability.
