PERFORMANCE iN LIGHTING is proud to announce that TYK+ series won the prestigious Red Dot Design Award in the Product Design section 2021.
TYK+ was selected from over thousands of product candidates and awarded by an international jury with years of experience and technical expertise, and which assigns this precious seal of quality only to products demonstrating design excellence. The TYK+ is the quintessence of the structural development in the outdoor architectural field of PERFORMANCE iN LIGHTING, it represents an elegant mix of how to harness the latest technology available to light architecture professionally. It is a "universal" architectural lighting tool that allows the designer to illuminate horizontal and vertical planes with absolute precision, to dose lights and shadows in a targeted way, to alternate light and dark areas by composing them successfully.
The evaluation process is based on several criteria constantly adapted to new technical, social, economic and ecological needs. The evaluation criteria include among others: degree of innovation, functionality, formal quality, ergonomics, durability, symbolic and emotional content and ecological compatibility.
The award is organised every year by the Red Dot GmbH & Co KG, the most established independent global design organization with headquarters in Essen. TYK+ will be published in the online exhibition on the Red Dot website on June 21 and will appear in the prestigious Red Dot Design Yearbook. Furthermore, it will be exhibited in the ESSEN museum, headquarters of Red Dot Design from June 2021 until May 2022.
