MUNICIPAL BUILDING

Castel Goffredo - Mantua - Italy

  • LIGHTING DESIGNER: Studio associato RFC di Mattia Saviola e Furgoni Matteo
  • ELECTRICIAN: Pederzani Impianti srl
  • PHOTOGRAPHER: Renato Begnoni

The Municipality of Castel Goffredo, in the land of the Gonzaga, is part of an important industrial district specializing in men's and women's hosiery.

Thanks to the opportunity given by a regional call for energy redevelopment, the municipal administration decided to completely renew the obsolete and inefficient lighting of its offices according to regulations, bringing into compliance both those open to the public and those used by staff and improving the image of the Town Hall.

The result is that the entire Castel Goffredo Town Hall building features a new, sustainable lighting system that is attentive to the well-being of the users and to energy savings.

The lighting project was overseen by Mattia Saviola and Vans Matteo of Studio Associato RFC which, in close collaboration with SARCO, selected PERFORMANCE iN LIGHTING luminaires for the reliability, excellent efficiency and price-quality ratio of the multiple solutions offered for office and public space lighting.

Among the solutions proposed, the use of the linear suspended SL789PL LED designed for this context was especially effective thanks to LIGHT-PERFORMER®, the software for the configuration of complex lighting systems in just a few clicks.

For the offices, free standing SL713SL LED luminaires positioned on each workplace proved to be the ideal solution providing lighting with reduced glare thanks to the micro-prismatic diffusers and the possibility of dimming the light according to the actual need.

All office lighting products comply with DIN EN 12464-1 regulations on glare in the workplace and therefore avoid visual fatigue and promote the well-being and productivity of employees.

The new lighting system has resulted in overall savings exceeding 50% compared to the obsolete system previously installed to the benefit of the municipal budget and the entire community.
