BUS TERMINAL AINOA

The new, modern bus terminal in Tapiola, Finland, has made a significant contribution to improving public transportation in the city. Residents’ mobility has been facilitated and public services have been made accessible, the station is in fact an important node between the AINOA shopping centre, the metro station and the historic centre. During peak traffic hours up to 80 bus routes depart from the terminal.

PERFORMANCE iN LIGHTING has created interior lighting, including waiting areas and transit areas with continuous long rows of SL787AB LED fixtures with opaline diffusers that provide a high level of visual comfort for travellers without glare. STRIP SQUARE series linear architectural floodlights provide integrated indirect lighting for areas requiring additional highlighting.

The project has brought significant energy savings by using 100% LED fixtures and, because of the attention given during the design phase, has also brought greater safety for the thousands of passengers who utilise the station every day.
