ADIGEO SHOPPING CENTRE

In Spring 2017, the first shopping centre opened in the heart of the Italian city and popular tourist destination Verona. Adigeo, designed by shopping centre developer ECE, boasts 130 shops across more than 47,000 m² with an attractive combination of products from both Italy and abroad.

Shopping centre lighting presents special requirements to be fulfilled. First, the lighting technology must be an integral part of the building’s architecture and second, the lighting should create a pleasant lighting atmosphere that turns shopping into an experience. Together with its partners, PERFORMANCE iN LIGHTING developed professional luminaires for these challenging tasks. The photometric design is based on the idea of bringing the properties of natural daylight inside. To realise this idea, special day-night luminaires were developed based on LED modules. As daylight changes, these luminaires change colour temperature creating a lighting atmosphere in the shopping centre that eliminates the difference between inside and outside.

PERFORMANCE iN LIGHTING not only developed these day-night luminaires, but other architectural lighting products as well. For instance, the SL764 lighting system creates criss-cross line patterns as part of the ceiling décor creates visual focus in areas with the most footfall. Of course, the SL764 lighting system also features a dynamic colour temperature change function adapted to the daylight patterns.
